- Some items on your site seem to have gaps between sizes/colors. Are these missing sizes/colors not offered or are they out of stock?
While we try to offer the most complete catalog that we can, we occasionally receive word from manufacturers that certain sizes and colors of certain styles are either sold out or discontinued. In order to prevent delays in your order processing, these unavailable items are removed from our ordering menus. If you're looking for a special size or color that isn't listed on our site, and you don't mind waiting for it, be sure to visit the CONTACT US page and let us know. We'd be happy to assist you in getting you what you need.
- Can I place a special order for an item (or color, or size) that I can't find on your site?
If you're looking for something that you can't find on our site, we'd be happy to make a special order for you! Please visit the CONTACT US page and let us know your needs. If your request is an item that we can special order for you, we'll give you a price and estimated delivery time right away.
- I did not receive a confirmation email. Did you receive my order?
Once your Rugged Outfitters order is placed and the "Thank You" Page is displayed, a confirmation email is generated and sent to the email address you supplied at checkout. Depending on your ISP's server, this email should arrive in your mailbox in anywhere from 5 to about 30 minutes.
If after 30 minutes, you still did not receive an email confirmation of your Rugged Outfitters order, the first thing to do is check your "bulk mail" or "SPAM" folder. Sometimes, aggressive SPAM filters will assume that your order confirmation is just another unwanted email, and will not place it in your Inbox. If you want to take a proactive step to ensure the receipt of Rugged Outfitters emails, please add "firstname.lastname@example.org" to your address book before completing your order.
Another possible reason a customer may not receive an email confirmation of his/her Rugged Outfitters order is if the email address supplied at checkout is incorrect. Usually if this happens, your confirmation is "bounced" back to us. In this instance, we will usually follow up with a phone call to correct the information and confirm your order.
If you still can't find your confirmation email, it's quite possible that your order was never finalized correctly online. We may be able to retrieve your unprocessed order from our database and take your credit card information over the phone to complete the transaction.
Ultimately, your best bet for confirming an order for which you have not received a confirmation email is to let us know through the CONTACT US form!
- Is my information secure when placing an order online with Rugged Outfitters?
Rugged Outfitters uses 128-bit encryption and SSL technology provided by GoDaddy, one of the leading providers of Secure Certificates, to ensure that your credit information remains strictly confidential. We also use Authorize.net gateway services to safely and quickly process your payment information and employ IP Address logging for each purchase so that we may pursue those people who attempt to place fraudulent orders with stolen credit card numbers. So, shop away! Your information is safe with us.
- I don't feel comfortable giving my credit card information online. Can I call in and place an order instead?
Our online credit card payment form is secure, meaning that your information is encrypted upon transmission to Rugged Outfitters. This keeps your information safe! However, if you still feel uncomfortable ordering online, please visit our CONTACT US page and send us a request for a phone order. We'll call you as soon as possible to take your order over the phone.
Shipping & Delivery Answers|
- How long will it take my items to ship?
Once your order is received, it generally takes 2-4 business days to be processed before shipping (and sometimes longer during the holidays). Saturdays, Sundays and all holidays are not considered business days. If your order can not be completely filled, customer service will contact you as soon as possible to let you know. Once your order is packed and your credit card charged, it will be sent to you via the shipping method chosen by you in your order.
Once your shipment is in the hands of UPS, shipping time will vary depending on the method chosen. For reference, the map below is a general representation of UPS Ground transit times. Actual transit times may vary.
- How can I check on the status of my order?
If you would like to check on the status of your order, please visit the CONTACT US page and send your request using our contact form. Please be sure to include your Order Number, First and Last Name, and Phone Number. We will get back to you as soon as possible via either email or phone.
- Will I receive an email notification when my item ships?
As soon as your order is registered for shipping with UPS, a notification which includes your UPS tracking number will be sent to the email address you supplied at checkout. Depending on your ISP's server, this email should arrive in your mailbox in anywhere from 5 to about 30 minutes. This also applies to individual partial shipments as well.
If you're sure that your item has shipped but you still haven't received your shipping notification, there may be other factors to consider. Please refer Checkout Question 1 for details.
- Do you ship orders internationally?
At this time, we do not offer international shipping.
- My Carhartt item in need of repair (broken zipper, rip, etc). How do I get it fixed?
Carhartt stands behind the quality of their merchandise. Carhartt states, "Our goal is to ensure your satisfaction with each purchase. Carhartt will cover premature failure of any of our products caused by a defect in the original materials or workmanship. Carhartt reserves the right to repair or replace any damaged merchandise at its option and expense." Should you need repairs, please visit http://www.carhartt.com/ and use their comment form to request an evaluation for repair of your damaged item.
- I think I've found an error on your website! Should I email or call you to let you know?
